At Pure Pediatrics & Wellness, we believe every child deserves personalized, holistic care that goes beyond treating symptoms. Our Pathway To Wellness Program harnesses the power of functional medicine to uncover the root causes of your child’s health concerns and guide them toward lifelong wellness.
The Pathway to Wellness Program is a specialist-level program for children with complex or chronic needs. It provides advanced evaluation, targeted interventions, and individualized care. Families who pursue this pathway often seek:
- Clarity around ongoing symptoms such as gastrointestinal issues, fatigue, eczema, headaches, or behavioral challenges
- Identification of underlying contributors including nutrition, digestion, immune function, inflammation, sleep, and environmental factors
- Reduction in symptom burden through personalized, gradual interventions
- Tailored care plans with nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and supportive therapies
- Support when prior approaches have stalled, offering a next step when conventional care hasn’t provided lasting improvement
- Improved quality of life for both child and family Begin Your Child’s Journey to Vibrant Health Today
Functional medicine focuses on understanding the unique genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that influence your child’s health. Instead of masking symptoms, we dive deep to identify underlying imbalances—whether nutritional, metabolic, or environmental—and develop a customized plan to restore balance and optimize wellness.
The Pathway to Wellness Functional Medicine Program is designed for children with complex, chronic, or unexplained symptoms that benefit from deeper evaluation and a personalized, root-cause–focused approach.

While both functional medicine and traditional primary care are essential parts of pediatric health, they approach care in different ways—each with its own strengths.
Primary Care:
Our Direct Primary Care (DPC) Program is designed to provide comprehensive, family-centered pediatric care, including wellness visits, illness management, and ongoing support. It combines modern pediatric medicine with a holistic, integrative approach. DPC is ideal for general pediatric care, ongoing health maintenance, and coordination with other providers.
- Focuses on diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, injuries, and managing chronic diseases through symptom-based care.
- Relies on standardized guidelines and protocols to address common pediatric health issues.
- Often emphasizes preventive care through vaccinations, screenings, and well-child visits.
- Typically provides referrals to specialists when more complex care is needed.
However, DPC is not intended for advanced, specialist-level evaluations or interventions.
Functional Medicine:
The Pathway to Wellness Program is a specialist-level program for children with complex or chronic needs. It provides advanced evaluation, targeted interventions, and individualized care.
- Takes a personalized, holistic approach to uncover and address the root causes of health concerns rather than only managing symptoms.
- Integrates a broad range of factors including genetics, nutrition, environment, and lifestyle to create a comprehensive wellness plan.
- Uses advanced testing and detailed assessments to identify imbalances in the body’s systems.
- Focuses on prevention, healing, and long-term wellness by empowering families with knowledge and individualized strategies.
The Discovery Consultation is an initial evaluation that helps determine which program is the best fit for your child. During this visit, our providers will:
- Review medical history in detail
- Explain the differences between DPC and Pathway to Wellness care
- Assess specific needs and program alignment
- Discuss recommended next steps and associated costs
This ensures that you leave with a clear understanding of your child’s care plan and program fit, so you can make confident, informed decisions. If you choose to move forward, the consultation fee will be applied toward enrollment.
